Valerie Shafer is an avid traveler whose adventures have taken her across nearly every state in the US and to numerous countries around the world. What she treasures most about her travels is the opportunity to immerse herself in different cultures and connect with people from all walks of life.
Five years ago, Valerie made the life-changing decision to move to the Sunshine State, and she hasn’t looked back since. Florida’s natural beauty, friendly communities, and endless opportunities for exploration captured her heart completely.
From Guide to Entrepreneur
Valerie’s journey as a tour guide began in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she spent a year leading and coordinating tours for another company. During this time, she discovered her true calling—not just showcasing beautiful locations, but creating meaningful experiences for the people who joined her tours.
This realization inspired Valerie to launch her own tour company, where she combines her extensive travel knowledge, photography skills, and genuine love for connecting with people to create unforgettable Florida adventures.
Florida Must-Sees: Building a Community
In 2022, Valerie’s passion for sharing Florida’s paradise led her to create the Facebook group “Florida Must-Sees.” This thriving online community has since grown to nearly 400,000 followers who share her enthusiasm for discovering the best of what Florida has to offer. The group serves as a platform where Valerie shares her tour content and stunning photography through her business, Valerie’s Paradise Photography.
